Our Story

We started in 2015 with a small bet: that the hardest part of digital commerce isn't the build — it's the decision before the build. Ten years and roughly four hundred projects later, we've earned the right to say it out loud.

Chapter 01 — Founded on a delivery problem.

In 2015, we were eCommerce specialists — ATG Commerce, then Salesforce Commerce Cloud, then SAP Hybris. Big platforms, big enterprises, big timelines. We learned that most of the projects we were called into late were already off-track before the first sprint.

The wrong technology choice doesn't fail loudly. It fails slowly, over years, by quietly making everything cost more.

Chapter 02 — We learned every major platform — on purpose.

Over the next seven years we delivered on VTEX, Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Hybris, BigCommerce, and a handful of composable stacks we assembled ourselves. We took partnerships with each. We declined to take an exclusive with any of them.

That choice cost us co-marketing dollars. It bought us something more useful: the ability to answer the question "which platform should we choose?" without flinching.

Chapter 03 — AI moved from slide deck to production.

In 2023 we started shipping AI agents into commerce stacks — search, merchandising, service, content. By 2025 we had enough scars to write down what works and what doesn't, and to refuse the work where we could see the outcome from a mile away.

An AI demo is one prompt. AI in production is integration, observability, fallbacks, governance, and someone on call at 3am. We learned to lead with that conversation, not the model.

Chapter 04 — So we became advisors first.

In 2025 we made the positioning explicit. Kodly leads with advisory — platform selection, AI feasibility, architecture review — and follows with delivery only when the case is right. The same forty consultants. A different order of operations.

We're not a build shop with an opinion. We're the opinion, and we'll build it if that's what the work needs.
