Challenge
This project is a social media app for car enthusiasts.
A platform like this requires an infrastructure and a backend-side capable of supporting any number of increasing users and use. Additionally, any social media needs to work seamlessly and be engaging in order to attract new users and to retain existing ones.
Before Kodly took on this project, this mobile app and its backend were built with outdated technologies and bad software quality. This led to several limitations in terms of performance, scalability and development of new features on Throdle.
Solution
- Kodly’s team designed and built a new backend for Throdle, with state-of-the-art technologies, and was also responsible to migrate the data from the previous platform;
- The team reworked the existing native mobile apps (Android & iOS) almost from scratch, aiming to implement a robust and extensible software;
- Kodly also built a new backoffice web application for the app’s admins.
Results
- Greater software quality and stability;
- A scalable and extensible system that makes it easier and quicker to deliver new features to the users;
- Improvements to the user experience and to the overall performance of the system.
